I can repair the Aminco Bowman Series II power supplies. I hope my website will read as a low pressure place, free of aggressive sales tactics. I don't know of anyone else that is offering this service but if there is someone, by all means send your power supply to them but please, please consider what I have to say about this power supply before attempting to fix it yourself. I don't want to frighten people so that they have to send work to me and believe me there are so many things that end users can do in labs by themselves and I have only praise for this sort of approach but please do not apply this mindset to this power supply. This PS provide a 30KV strike voltage to make emission possible from the XE lamp. There is far more then enough current and voltage to kill. I have high voltage probes but I am still afraid to use them in such a dangerous circuit. I only service these power supplies when I am sure they have been powered down safely. I never attempt to take voltage measurements while powered on. I do have a clamp on probe that allows me to take current measurements safely. Please send your power supply out for service or if you wish to buy parts from me to complete repairs on yours, please hire a qualified electrician to install them.
